Guelph Chamber Lead’s Provincial Debate on Net-Zero Homebuilding

Guelph, May 3, 2018: At the recent Ontario Chamber of Commerce Policy Convention in Hamilton, the Guelph Chamber of Commerce received strong provincial support for its resolution that sought to further enable net-zero homebuilding. Ontario homebuilders are unable to leverage their innovative capacity and maximize their business and economic output by accessing the Green Ontario Fund to scale up the building of net-zero homes.

Chamber to City Council: Now is the Time for Action on the Baker Street Development

Canada’s Jobs Powerhouse Needs a Transit System that Gets People to Work

Guelph, November 23, 2017: The Guelph Chamber of Commerce presented to Guelph City Council as part of the stakeholder engagement and public presentations process on the City Budget. A central objective of the Chamber’s continued involvement in the municipal budget process is to ensure that municipal public finance decisions are made with a lens of sound financial principles that balance support for a community’s range of services with a community’s ability to pay and remain competitive as an investment and growth location. As a means to achieve this, the Chamber presented on the pressing need for a route review to ensure that the transit system is able to better link people to jobs in the community.
