Chamber Celebrates 2019 Business Award Recipients

Guelph, June 28, 2019: On June 27, the Guelph Chamber of Commerce joined leaders in business, government, and community to celebrate the achievements of outstanding local businesses, organizations and individuals at the Guelph Awards of Excellence Gala. Recipients of this year's 2019 Chamber Business Awards were selected from a robust list of finalists and nominees from across Guelph.
The 2019 Chamber Business Awards Recipients are:
Lifetime Achievement Award: Scott McRoberts
Emerging Business Award: Estate Transition Planners Canada (ETP)
Community Spirit Award in partnership with Bell Canada: Start2Finish
Community Innovator Award in partnership with the University of Guelph: Canadian Mental Health Association Waterloo Wellington
Young Innovator Award in partnership with the University of Guelph: Jarrett Blair & Nathan Skoufis
Millennium Scholarship Recipient in partnership with DENSO: Amanda Mitchelmore-Carter
Excellence in Business Award (50+ Employees) in partnership with Elements Casino: DENSO
Excellence in Business Award (up to 50 employees): Shared Value Solutions Ltd.
"The Guelph Awards of Excellence Gala gives us a chance to showcase some of the amazing business talent that we have here in Guelph," says Amy Kendall, Interim President & CEO of the Guelph Chamber of Commerce. "This annual event is a great opportunity to recognize and reward our members who continually achieve a remarkable level of business excellence, while continuing to encourage the entrepreneurial and community spirit in Guelph is known for."
In addition to the Chamber Business Awards, it included presentations of the Mayor's Awards; Downtown Volunteer of the Year Award; Guelph and Wellington Branch ACO Heritage Award; United Way of Guelph Wellington Dufferin President Award; and Innovation Guelph Awards.
