THE GUELPH CHAMBER ANNOUNCES LEADERSHIP TRANSITION

Andy Veilleux will be transitioning out of his role as CEO to focus on his academic pursuits

GUELPH, ON | JUNE 17, 2026 After a dedicated tenure with the Guelph Chamber, Andy Veilleux will be stepping down from his leadership role to put his full attention on his PhD studies at the University of Guelph. The Guelph Chamber remains incredibly grateful for Andy's contributions and wishes him the absolute best as he completes this important academic milestone.

Veilleux has made the decision to step down to prioritize his academic commitments. As his research enters a critical phase, his studies require significant dedication, leading him to transition from the CEO role to immerse himself in his work at the University of Guelph.

“We value the impact Andy has made at Guelph Chamber during his tenure,” said Melissa Kwiatkowski, Guelph Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. “We thank him and wish him all the best as he devotes his time to his rural economic development research, a field that we know will benefit the broader agricultural and business communities here in Guelph.”

Veilleux has a great deal of respect for the Guelph Chamber and appreciates the time he spent there. He leaves the Chamber in a strong position, while the Board focuses on the next steps and continues to support the business community.

"It has been an honour to lead the Guelph Chamber," said Andy Veilleux. "At this time, I need to shift my full focus to my doctoral research at U of G. I leave the Chamber in strong hands and wish the organization all the best in its next chapter."

The Board will appoint an interim CEO shortly. They are focused on ensuring continuity of leadership and advancing the Chamber’s goals while undertaking the search process. They remain fully committed to delivering high-quality, community-centred services.
