In light of recent events with COVID-19, the Guelph Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to continuing to stand behind businesses and their needs during this time. 

Now more than ever, it is imperative that we see governments make continuous, strong and bold decisions that are in the best interest of our communities.  

Tonight, Guelph City Council will have an emergency council meeting to discuss financial relief recommendations. I commend Mayor Guthrie for calling this emergency meeting and I encourage council to support the businesses who continue to work unremittingly to ensure our community thrives.  

At the Guelph Chamber, we have stood behind business for 193 years, and will continue to stand behind our members. We need all levels of government to be responsive by taking bold and concise action immediately. We will challenge government to do everything they can to support and bolster the financial capacity of businesses.
