Guelph Young Professionals Network Becomes Committee of Guelph Chamber of Commerce

Jan 7, 2020

The Guelph Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that the Guelph Young Professionals Network (YPN) will now be housed as a working committee under the organization. The Guelph Chamber is also thrilled to announce that RLB LLP, a local and leading-edge accounting firm is set to be the official YPN sponsor.

The Guelph YPN has been an active non-profit in the community for several years, and is known for monthly networking events that invite young professionals, students and entrepreneurs together to expand their networks and get plugged into the local business community.

“We’re excited for the opportunity to have YPN grow under the Chamber’s leadership” says Emma Rogers, Chair of the Guelph YPN. “I’m confident that with the diverse set of businesses within the Chamber membership, young professionals will be able to facilitate greater connections, resources and learning opportunities that will enhance their networks and encourage their growth.”

“Our work is guided by our newly released strategic plan with the goals of advocating, connecting and convening” says Shakiba Shayani, President & CEO of the Guelph Chamber. “With the generous support of community champion and official sponsor RLB, we’re excited to advocate for young professionals, to connect them with the right businesses and leaders in the community and to create content that helps propel their careers and businesses to the next level.”

Working closely with the Chamber team, the YPN Committee will continue to produce events for young professionals, including the popular Guelph Social Fusion networking events. At Social Fusions, aspiring entrepreneurs and young professionals come together with established business owners for an evening of energy-infused networking and the promise of exciting new synergies across sectors and generations.

The Guelph Chamber would like to thank all past YPN Board Members, who have helped serve the young professionals in our community for many years.
